Green Monster Smoothie
Submitted  by  Marieke  Breakey, RD

Picture
Ingredients
1 Granny Smith or Honey Crisp apple, washed and chopped (leave skin on)
½ cup 0% vanilla Greek yogurt (or use plain and add honey for sweetness)
½ cup skim milk
1 handful of spinach (about 1- 1.5 cups)
½ - 1 cup frozen pineapple or mango
Orange juice (or juice of 1 orange) to reach desired consistency

Directions

Add milk and yogurt to blender. Blend to combine. Next, add spinach and blend until spinach is well-combined. Add apple and pulse to break up, then blend on high. Add lime juice and blend. Add frozen mango and blend. If mixture is too thick, add prepared orange juice (or juice an orange) to reach desired texture. Enjoy immediately!

Variations
·  Add 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder in place of Greek yogurt and increase skim milk to 1 cup.
·  Add kale instead of spinach.
